Kujawsko-Pomorska Sieć Informacyjna Sp. z o.o. (K-PSI) is a telecommunication operator and our operations cover the whole Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship. We have been operating in the telecommunication market since 2003. We are an entity founded by the authorities of Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship to execute activities related to creation and stimulation of development of the information society in our region. Together with the Voivodeship we initiate actions aiming at elimination of digital exclusion in our region. First of all we provide services related to the Internet access on a basis of the broadband network infrastructure constructed under projects partly finances by the European Union. Our customers include local government bodies, national government offices, educational bodies (libraries, schools), cultural bodies, healthcare centres (hospitals, clinics), and emergency services units (fire brigade, police, medical emergency) operating throughout Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodeship. We also make our network available to local Internet providers and through them we reach local societies. A specific characteristic of our network, that is also its great advantage, is symmetric communication. This characteristic enables data transmission in both directions with the same speed thus ensuring comfortable and correct execution of a number of electronic services.
